     WSU RUNNERS
  WIN THE GLIAC!!!

Lead by super star runner Chris Burns (26:50), the WSU men's cross country team won the 2001 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Cross Country Championship. Afterwards, Chris's dear friend, Miss Debbie, challenged him to race around a circular course, going in opposite directions. Chris gave Miss Debbie a start of one-eighth of the distance. In his contempt for Miss Debbie, Chris loafed at the start of the race. When he was one-sixth of the distance, he met Miss Debbie who was running hard with a big smile on her face. Realizing that he was in serious trouble, Chris began sprinting as fast as he could. Assuming Miss Debbie runs at a constant rate, how much faster than he went before must Chris now run in order to tie her? (Careful, the question is not "How many times as fast?")
