C*-Algebras and Topological Dynamics 2: Topological Orbit Equivalence

Abstract. This lecture will continue the discussion of the interplay between C*-algebras and topological dynamical systems. Here we concentrate on the special case of minimal dynamical systems on totally disconnected spaces and the question of when two such systems are orbit equivalent. This is an extension to the topological case of the work of Dye, Krieger, Connes, Feldman, Weiss, Rudolph and many others in ergodic theory. This is joint work with R. Herman, T. Giordano, H.
