I am a mathematical researcher and teacher. My research is in the area of Applied Mathematics with main focus on Numerical Analysis, Partial Differential Equations, and Scientific Computing. My work reflects an interplay of rigorous mathematical analysis of PDEs, the estimate and development of numerical methods, and their applications to physics and engineering.
I obtained my Ph.D. in Mathematics (2008) at The Pennsylvania State University. Prior to Wayne State University, I worked as a Philip T. Church Postdoc (2008-2010) at the Department of Mathemaics, Syracuse University and as an IMA Postdoc Associate (2010-2011) at the Institute for Mathematics and its Applications, University of Minnesota.
Please contact me at hli@math.wayne.edu if you are interested in the graduate study on Numerical Aanalysis, PDEs, and Scientific Computing at Wayne State University. |
