This is a nation-wide competition which is open to essentially all undergraduates. There is no charge to take this examination. The emphasis is on problems which require elementary methods but some originality to be solved. Freshmen and sophomores are especially encouraged to enter the competition. A brochure describing the exam will be found outside 1123 FAB.
